2. (Cedula y/o pasaporte), visado si es necesario, vouchers de servicios, seguro de viaje, entre otros. Destine un lugar especial para guardar todos estos documentos, de esa manera ahorrará tiempo en los puntos de chequeo y revisión.
3. Revise si usted tiene o ha tenido procesos judiciales, verifique ante el respectivo despacho sobre la vigencia de alguna restricción para salir del país

6. Antes de viajar es muy conveniente averiguar y familiarizarse con las leyes locales y costumbres de los países a los que va a viajar. Recuerde que las libertades y derechos que recoge la constitución de su país no están siempre vigentes en los países a los que se dispone a viajar. Usted está obligado a respetar y cumplir las leyes de los países que visita en el extranjero.
7. Asegúrese de que su programa incluye una asistencia médica, de no tenerla es mejor que la adquiera. Estas no solo le servirán en caso de enfermedad o accidente, sino también por pérdida de la maleta, ayudándole a encontrarla y proporcionándole un auxilio mientras es encontrada.

15. Recuerde que como equipaje de mano no puede llevar elementos afilados, incluidas tijeras, limas de uñas o navajas, o cualquier objeto que pudieran confiscarle en el control de seguridad.
16. Lleve en su equipaje de mano las medicinas que toma habitualmente y asegúrese de que tiene la dosis adecuada para la duración del vuelo (recuerde: no se pueden llevar agujas en el equipaje de mano sin documentación médica que lo acredite).

20. Trate de no llamar la atención en países, ciudades o zonas sobre las que no tiene mucha información. Evite en estas situaciones ostentar ropas o joyas caras y que llamen la atención, y no lleve excesivas cantidades de dinero o tarjetas de crédito. De llevarlas guárdelas en sitios distintos.
21. Para evitar el incumplimiento de leyes locales trate solo con agentes autorizados cuando cambie divisas o compre arte o antigüedades.
22. Si se encuentra con algún problema, póngase en contacto rápidamente con su embajada más cercana.
23. Si viaja con menores de edad recuerde llevar copia del folio y permiso de los padres (o del padre) en caso de que viaje sin ellos o sin uno de los dos
24. Conserve copia de las facturas pagadas, vouchers y demás documentos entregados por la agencia, así como los folletos publicitarios y los programas de viaje. En el caso de los catálogos, a veces es conveniente incluso llevarlos al viaje, ya que si surge algún desfase entre lo contratado y lo que nos ofrecen en destino, podemos exigirlo allí mismo con más fuerza. 25. Antes de viajar adquiera una pequeña cantidad de la moneda utilizada en el lugar de destino para afrontar posibles pagos a tu llegada. Si no, procure llevar  una moneda de fácil cambio en el país que visitara. No lleve billetes de alta denominación, ya que en algunos países los evitan por temor a las falsificaciones. Debe tener en cuenta que en muchos lugares pequeños y remotos no existen cajeros automáticos ni aceptan tarjetas de crédito.
26. Si viaja a países con gran diferencia horaria respecto a la que se encuentra, debe estar preparado para sufrir el “jet-lag” (descompensación horaria), ya que su reloj biológico seguirá funcionando de acuerdo a lo acostumbrado. Existen ciertos medicamentos que ayudan a prevenirlo.
27. Para tener un viaje libre de enfermedades es muy importante que se informe previamente respecto de las necesidades de vacunación que se requieren para los diferentes destinos y seguir las recomendaciones señaladas.
28. Para contrarrestar el aire seco de la cabina de los aviones, se recomienda beber un vaso con agua por cada hora de  vuelo.
29. Prepare su equipo fotográfico y lleve lo indispensable como baterías, cargadores, etc.
30. Recuerde que en algunos lugares las propinas son voluntarias, usuales y justas y no están incluidas dentro de los servicios adquiridos.
31. Permita que los guías, habitantes y profesionales del turismo le indiquen los mejores lugares para visitar.
32. Tenga especial precaución en los lugares con altas aglomeraciones de gente como transporte público, eventos masivos y centros o sectores comerciales. No descuide y guarde en un lugar seguro sus documentos, dinero, joyas, teléfonos celulares y cualquier otro elemento de valor.
33. Cuando vaya a hacer turismo rural, siempre vaya acompañado de guías turísticos y personal calificado para hacer estos recorridos

4. Ayude a conservar el entorno natural. Proteja la flora y la fauna silvestre y su hábitat, y no compre productos elaborados a partir de plantas o animales en peligro. Evite  tomarse  fotografías con la fauna, puede causar que estas especies se alejen del lugar y no retornen, con el perjuicio de que te será más difícil para tu próximo grupo de turistas observar estas especies
5. Respete los recursos culturales. Las actividades turísticas deben practicarse con respeto por el patrimonio artístico, arqueológico y cultural
6. No se sienta tentado a llevarse pedazos de restos arqueológicos, plantas, flores, y demás si cada turista que visitara el lugar se llevara una muestra, muy pronto dejaría de existir el recurso
7. Su viaje puede contribuir al desarrollo económico y social. Compre artesanía y productos locales para apoyar la economía del lugar, y aténgase a los principios del comercio justo. Cuando regatee, tenga presente el concepto de salario justo. 8. Reúna toda la información posible sobre su destino, y dedique tiempo a entender sus costumbres, normas y tradiciones. Evite los comportamientos que puedan ofender a la población local.

9. Infórmese de la legislación vigente para no cometer ningún acto que se considere delictivo en el país visitado. No trafique con drogas, armas, antigüedades, especies protegidas, ni productos o sustancias peligrosas o prohibidas por los reglamentos nacionales.
10. En caso de derrame accidental de algún producto durante los tours no debe tratar de controlarlo solo; pida ayuda de inmediato a los encargados
11. Debe mantener orden y aseo en los lugares que visite, evitando así potencializar los diferentes riesgos que amenacen las instalaciones, área natural protegida y demás
12. Evite realizar  ruido innecesario en museos, en vistas a monumentos arqueológicos y en especial, en áreas naturales protegidas. El ruido puede perturbar la experiencia de otros turistas  o espantar la vida silvestre en áreas naturales.
